CO+I, responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. We are looking for an experienced Network Peering Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the global Internet ecosystem, specifically in Asia. You will be responsible for managing peer relationships and Internet Exchanges, negotiating peering interconnections, optimizing traffic profiles and managing costs with Internet Exchange providers.

• 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in networking technologies.
• Experience in strategic negotiations and/or business development in peering and internet technologies.
• Understanding of BGP configuration and internet routing.
• Experience with contractual/MSA negotiations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• Maintain healthy relationships with established peers and develop relationships with potential strategic peers.
• Manage IX (Internet Exchange) relationships and contracts to ensure optimal connectivity and performance.
• Formulate, execute, and manage strategies to keep traffic localized to optimize cost and performance.
• Represent the organization’s interest in developing internet ecosystem policy.
