The Systems Administrator I will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and stability of our organization's IT infrastructure. This position involves managing and maintaining hardware and software systems, deploying updates and patches, and troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MCM, JAMF, Intune, and PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline system administration processes. JOB DESCRIPTION
- Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems across the organization.
- Manage and monitor MCM, JAMF, and Intune platforms to facilitate software deployments, updates, and patch management.
- Build, test, and deploy software packages in MCM, Intune, and JAMF.
- Mange endpoint imaging and deployment infrastructure through MCM and Intune.
- Utilize PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate routine tasks and streamline system administration processes and software distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software-related issues.
- Proactively upgrade endpoints, software, and processes to enhance functionality and address security concerns.
- Maintain and create system documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, software distribution and licensing.
- Install, repair and upgrade campus desktop devices to include: hardware, printers, and peripherals as needed.
Participate in regular operational meetings/discussions to review, plan, update, inform, processes, workflows, policies, and projects. - Implement and administer hardware inventory and asset tracking using various tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of two years related experience.
- Proficiency in MCM (Microsoft Configuration Manager), JAMF, and Intune.
- Strong scripting skills, PowerShell and/or batch, for automation and task execution.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware and software components, including operating systems, networking, and security.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with users of varying levels of technical competency.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
