Position Title Information Security Analyst Position Number Department Division of Technology Services Job Description Summary
Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as an Information Security Analyst.

The Information Security Analyst is a position working with Digital Technology Services that will be focused on supporting, implementing, improving and revising ongoing IT security operations to ensure a successful execution of Wentworth’s information security program.

This position will report directly to the Manager of Network Operations. The Information Security Analyst’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Designing, implementing, and operating information security best practices and procedures
  • Developing and managing IT security and process documentation
  • Ensuring required security control initiatives are executed on schedule throughout the year and are in line with Wentworth’s information security program objectives
  • Partnering with the CIO, Legal Affairs division, and the entire IT Security team to develop and manage metrics and reporting designed to measure Information Security program effectiveness and ensure compliance with Wentworth’s policies, compliance regulations, and industry best practices
  • Partnering with training staff to develop and continually iterate on security awareness training curriculum
  • Participating in monitoring external threat environment to ensure Wentworth is responds effectively to near and far term IT security threats
  • Responding to and resolving cyber security threats that may impact the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of Wentworth systems and affect constituents or personnel
  • The administration and operation of cyber security tools and technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, vulnerability scanner, and endpoint protection software.

Working alongside the team members in Network Operations, the ISA is responsible for day-to-day tier 2 response, escalation, and resolution of technical issues and incidents. This position will also be involved in projects related to upgrading existing technology or deploying new technology as needed.

Salary Range
