Position Summary:
This position is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Corporate IT team. The role focuses on building and owning the travel and device security program while leading a dedicated forensic lab and loaner device process. This role plays a key role in safeguarding technology, enhancing travel readiness, and enabling secure productivity for the Company Leadership Team (CLT).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and operationalize the loaner device program, ensuring readiness and security of devices for executive travel.
Maintain and operate the Waltham, MA digital forensic lab, preserving digital data from physical devices using sound forensic practices.
Collaborate with Global Physical Security and Corporate Security teams to support the executive travel security program.
Develop and deliver pre-travel security briefings for executives, provide timely updates during travel, and respond to cybersecurity incidents involving the CLT.
Provide technical input into hardening guidelines and partner with IT support to secure laptops and mobile devices
Maintain executive presence and build trust through regular engagement with senior leaders and EAs.
Partner with other teams to develop dashboards, data feeds, and integrate CTI threat intel into executive protection strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience and knowledge of digital forensics workflows and tools (e.g., FTK Imager, Cellebrite Inseyets, Magnet Forensics’ Axiom).
Ability to conduct OSINT investigations and understand threat intelligence platforms.
Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and present confidently to executives and support teams.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and program management skills.
High discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive executive data and incidents.
Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 environment for device and user management.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, IT support, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
Familiarity with forensic processes, device imaging, and endpoint protection platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike).
Demonstrated skill working autonomously, handling sensitive tasks discreetly, and engaging effectively with senior-level partners.
Preferred experience in law enforcement, government intelligence, or corporate security environments.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., GCFA, CFCE, CCME).
Availability to travel occasionally to executive homes, offices, or offsite events as needed.
