Primary Purpose of Position:

The Associate IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to our employees as a member of our IT Service Desk. Support includes network connectivity and incident management, desktop and workstation infrastructure management based on policies and procedures.

IT Associate will investigate and respond to support requests by following documented processes and procedures with the goal of restoring or fulfilling Information Technology services for employees in the most efficient and professional manner possible.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage their day to day activities including; setting up new hires PC’s both software and hardware, helpdesk tickets, walkups, projects assigned by Team lead, documentation, and other assigned tasks.
  • Own the New hire process start to finish: Setting up their Active Directory accounts, imaging their PC’s, setup their windows 10 profiles, create email accounts, setup their phones, manage all assets in our Asset management system, fill out IT welcome letter and then physically setup their desk.
  • Replace employees PC’s and transfer their data, with minimal down time for the employee.
  • Collect PC equipment from Terminations and update our Asset management system.
  • Follow the documented process for recycling our old PC’s and Electronic devices as needed.
  • Pickup all packages from the front desk then follow the Packing slip and Asset Tag process.
  • Learn and implement department policies, procedures, and technical areas related to process and procedures.
  • Provide IT Service Desk support to users within the organization for computer, application, system, device, and access and hardware issues.
  • Help maintain clear and concise Web-based Self-Help/FAQ documentation that empowers end-users to self-resolve common issues
  • Plan, prioritize and schedule help desk activities to ensure maximum issue resolutions in minimum time
  • Help Manage the inventory of all IT assets to include hardware and software

Non-Essential Functions:

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A BA/BS degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to achieve results without close supervision.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and also has the strong desire to work as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated practical, hands-on, “can-do” approach, and the ability to work efficiently and creatively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular business hours.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Involves work of a general office nature usually performed in a stationary position (E.G. sitting or standing) such as answering the phone, operation of a computer, and/or operation of a photocopier.
  • Involves movement between departments to facilitate workflow.
  • Visual acuity requirements include color identification, field of vision necessary to operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading and/or data input. No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Internal and External Contacts:
  • Interfaces regularly in both verbal and written form with all levels of professionals.
  • Interfaces regularly with external customers and other parties.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to Team lead, IT Helpdesk Coordinator, who provides supervision, guidance and evaluates work performance on a periodic basis.

Salary Range:

$52,000 - $81,640 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
