The Senior Director of Cyber Security will be responsible for leading the effort to protect technology, data and assets for Sensata. This includes establishing and maintaining the information security strategy and program using a risk based approach. The Senior Director of Cyber Security is also responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on legal and regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity risk to information assets, while supporting and advancing business objectives. The Sr. Director will lead the team to research and establish security standards, develop and deploy policies and procedure and ensure the organization is educated and trained to an appropriate level. The Senior Director of Cybersecurity will also work with their peers in the IT Organization to execute on the overall Cybersecurity strategy and program. The Senior Director must be able to work with senior executives to advocate for and drive the information security program forward.

General Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains Sensata’s Cybersecurity strategy and program
  • Develop and measures KPIs to transparently communicate maturity and operations
  • Partners with IT Organization to develop and implement Cybersecurity programs
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and reflect current industry best practices
  • Lead a team of cybersecurity experts to deliver robust security operations
  • Establishes and implements appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, email and web firewall, access verification, encryption, etc
  • Provides leadership and ownership of comprehensive Incident Management process, including tabletop exercises
  • Develops and manages Cybersecurity budget and financials

Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of information security, risk management, and IT or Operational Technology jobs
  • BS degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Budget Management - Ability to develop and present annual operation Expense and Capital budgets within the departmental budget process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various hierarchical levels, ranging from board members to individual technical specialists
  • Strategic leader and builder of both vision and bridges, and able to energize the appropriate teams in the organization to meet the information security objectives of the company.
  • Continuous learning mindset and adept at keeping up with the evolution of Cybersecurity, regulations, vulnerabilities, and other related matters
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as: Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), TISAX, GDPR, CDPR, etc.
  • Proven track record and experience in developing information security policies and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs
  • Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations
  • Critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Business ethics - Ability to practice and behave consistently and effectively in areas of business practice and conflicts of interest
  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis
