SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist Technical Intern II that is ready to have a real insight into the world of work, test your skills in real-life situations, explore your career options and gain an insight into an organization or career path. This is a 100% remote position.

Throughout an SAIC internship you will develop a variety of soft skills, including communication skills, personal effectiveness, presentation skills, creative problem solving and influencing skills. Internships are great opportunities to speak directly to people who have experience in the role you aspire to; and their knowledge of the job and working environment will give you a greater understanding of what it’s all about and what you need to do to progress.

• Applies a combination of engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum military cyberspace operations.
• Writes reports specifying in technical detail how assessments were performed and what mitigating and remediating activities were performed.
• Provides technical support, either within the company or in support of customer contracts, on assignments using established procedures.
• Candidates are primarily engaged in the technical or scientific disciplines through the course of college study.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School and two (2) or more years of college coursework in a technical field.

• Related industry certifications.
• Task and customer oriented.
• Demonstrated evidence of initiative and self-starting.
• Demonstrated capability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment with flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and team cooperation.

FREEDOM TO ACT: General supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Considerable knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Supervision Received: General supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

IMPACT: Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.

LIAISON: Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contacts involved obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.

U.S. citizenship required

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
