SAIC is seeking a TACNET ISEA Network Engineer Team Lead to join our team in San Diego, CA. This hybrid remote position requires onsite presence during the week. The ideal candidate will interface with active-duty military personnel and US Government employees to provide top-notch repair support for United States Navy-related networks, including ADNS, ISNS, CANES, CENTRIXS, Legacy SCI, VIXS, WRBS, and associated applications. The role may require up to 25% travel, both domestic and international, and some off-hours support.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead a diverse team of SMEs, focusing on their well-being, career growth, and equitable workload distribution.
- Balance staff skills to meet mission requirements, ensuring qualified personnel support a 24/7 operation with our US Navy customer.
Professional Development:
- Oversee continuous professional development for SMEs. Implement mentoring programs, identify skill gaps, and develop training plans aligned with individual career aspirations and TACNET objectives.
Certification and Compliance Coordination:
- Coordinate with the PMO to ensure SMEs maintain up-to-date certifications and training, including annual refreshers, and comply with travel requirements.
- Assist Coordinators with managing credentialing and information systems accounts necessary for SMEs to perform their duties.
Resource Management:
- Efficiently allocate resources to staff efforts, ensuring optimal utilization and coverage across all operational areas.
Operational Excellence:
- Maintain regular meetings with SMEs to gather feedback on their professional growth and well-being.
- Update the SME Scores Dashboard on TNOM to reflect current SME experiences.
- Communicate frequently with other TACNET managers about SME performance, gathering critical feedback for improvements.
Performance Analysis:
- Analyze fleet events to identify underutilized/improvement opportunities for SMEs.
- Provide detailed performance feedback to the TSS Functional Area Manager (FAM) for further development and mentoring of SMEs.
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or IT related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership role managing teams in a technical or specialized environment; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required skills:
- Familiarity with one of the following systems is a plus: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS/ORT, ONE-NET, SCI-Networks, SUB-LAN, VIXS, WRBS, CND and SCIP-IWF.
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and Database Software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows OS in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement professional development programs.
- Strong project management skills, including resource allocation and performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and performance dashboards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven record of providing constructive feedback.
- Availability to manage after-hours team support and emergency response staffing needs.
Required clearance:
- Must have a current active Secret security clearance. Higher level of clearances are acceptable.
Required certifications:
- Must have a current DoD IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Must be able to obtain one additional certification such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, VCP, or equivalent within 6 months of hire date.
Desired Skills:
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience in a defense, security, or similarly regulated industry.
- Understanding of enterprise IT and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Knowledge of current training and certification requirements for defense contractors.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
