The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is looking for a Scrum Master (SM) for the Maverick Agile Team. This position will be on site in Woburn, MA. In this role, you’ll contribute to advancing requirements analysis, mission planning, and support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS team specializes in concept development, architectural design, requirements generation, systems analysis, modeling & simulation, integration, testing, and evaluation of world-class missile defense and sensor systems.

What You Will Do

As a Scrum Master, you’ll lead a subset of engineering activities for the AN/TPY-2 Programs. Your responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, stand-ups).

  • Managing and verifying the product backlog.

  • Tracking Agile metrics and identifying/resolving impediments.

  • Analyzing performance data and automating workflows using MATLAB.

  • Overseeing key team activities, including:

    • Threat evaluation and system performance assessments.

    • Mission planning, radar input creation, and test event support.

  • Mentoring team members, removing roadblocks, and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders.

  • Supporting proposal efforts and managing team financial planning.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience leading a technical effort.

  • Experience in overseeing and/or monitoring technical cost and schedule performance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.

  • Prior experience with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs.

  • Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development.

  • Experience with Python scripting.

  • Experience with Mission Planning activities.

  • Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staff planning.

  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews, (particularly associated with SRR, PDR and CDR).

  • Agile Scrum methodologies and related practices.

  • Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.

  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering, Math, Physics, or Business.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
