About the Team
The Vice President of Security Risk Services is a highly visible and critical role reporting to our SVP of Service Delivery. It will provide a leadership opportunity for developing and leading Rapid7’s services strategies and consulting teams including Penetration Testing, Security Advisory, and Managed Application Security and Vulnerability Management Services.
About the Role
The VP of Security Risk Services will build collaborative internal and external relationships to align Rapid7’s Security Risk Services solutions with market and customer requirements and to create innovative approaches to advance companies’ security with our expertise and guidance.
In this role, you will:
Develop and continuously evolve the Rapid7 Security Risk Services strategy and supporting offerings to deliver improved security results for companies creating or optimizing their cybersecurity programs
Evolve and develop new services based on market needs particularly in cloud security and in support of Rapid7’s extended Security Operations Center (SOC) strategy
Maintain an expert understanding of the security market for both technology and services and track and respond to emerging security practices and needs
Build and foster excellent relationships with key stakeholders, maintaining alignment across teams including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product and other Rapid7 teams
Present to and engage with prospects, customers, and the security community at large, including C-level executives, both to continue to inform and evolve our security consulting practice and to drive awareness and services business
Lead and continue to develop a world-class team of security experts and consultants, supported by tooling, training, and processes to be successful in delivering high-quality results for customers
Provide leadership to delivery teams to achieve customer and business results including engagement quality, revenue growth, and margin
The skills you’ll bring include:
10+ years of experience in cyber or information security consulting and/or managed services, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Boston, MA; Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; or Arlington, VA location highly preferred, as well as the ability to travel 30-50%.
Desire to become an expert in all of Rapid7’s services and strong knowledge in Rapid7 products. CISSP/ CISM certifications a plus.
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills with proven executive-level engagement and coaching.
Commitment to speaking and/or contributing content at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
Education: Engineering / CS / MIS Degree (Bachelor’s minimum; graduate work preferred) or 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
