The Opportunity

  • The development and growth of the Strategic Threat Intelligence capability which forms part of NCC Group’s broader Threat Intelligence team.

  • The development and delivery of our consultant-led client facing delivery.

  • Supporting and leading Consultancy Cyber Threat Intelligence Engagements across various national and international frameworks (*BEST, TIBER, iCAST, AASE)

  • Supporting and leading threat intelligence consultancy engagements producing threat landscape reports, online exposure assessments and threat intelligence maturity assessments.

The Challenge

  • Line management of threat intelligence analysts.

  • Play a key role in setting the intelligence direction and collection priorities for NCC Group.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners and clients to ensure a more complete picture of the threat landscape.

  • Working under operational time pressure, self-managing tasks, meeting deadlines in support of customer and NCC Group requirements.

  • Understanding motivations of relevant actors, identifying their targets and way of working

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the cyber threat to various economic sectors, regions, and countries.

  • As a manager within the Global Threat Intelligence team, you are expected to set an example in both output and work ethic. Your support to the wider organisation will be critical in the development of NCC Group’s Threat Intelligence capabilities.

Essential Skills

In terms of technical and behavioural capabilities, we are looking for individuals who have experience in the following areas:

  • Be familiar with Threat Intelligence Principles, and Testing Frameworks such as CBEST and TIBER.

  • Hold a CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM), CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst (CRTIA), or equivalent qualification.

  • Have excellent communications skills, both in terms of written and verbally delivered work.

  • Previous experience as a threat intelligence analyst or similar position.

  • Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), subdomains

  • Knowledge of ‘cyber’ terminology and concepts

  • Can conduct research and use reconnaissance skills, especially the use of OSINT research techniques.

  • Technical knowledge of integrating threat intelligence sources with other technologies e.g. Splunk, MS Sentinel, Carbon Black.

  • Have experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms e.g. MISP
