Department Summary:

The Enterprise Classified Services Department seeks a full-time Intermediate Systems Administrator to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of IT systems in a Classified lab environment. This is an early career role best suited for someone who has begun their career as a classified systems administrator and has interest in growing their career. This is an on-premises position on our Bedford, MA campus. The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Patching and updating Windows and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) server and desktop operating systems.
  • Updating anti-virus software definitions for Windows server and workstation
  • Fundamental user maintenance activities on both Windows and Linux operating systems

Basic Qualifications:

  • SECRET-level clearance
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Working knowledge of server and client operating systems. (Win10/11, Srv2016+, RHEL, Ubuntu Linux)
  • Fundamental understanding of lab IT architecture
  • Fundamental understanding of system administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques.
  • Fundamental understanding of operating system command-line tools.
  • Ability to interface with customers and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security+ Certification / 8570 Certification – IAT Level II
    • Must possess certification within 6-months of hire date.
  • DoD Top Secret Clearance (will accept Secret)
