Technical Skills Required (RPA):
- RPA Tools Administrator: Strong knowledge and experience in the administration of RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or others depending on the employer’s preference.
- Scripting and Automation: Ability to write scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of administrative tasks related to RPA and other enterprise systems.
- Programming/scripting Skills: Proficiency in programming and scripting languages commonly used in RPA, such as Python, Java, C#, or VBScript.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as servers, databases, networks, and security protocols.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Skills in monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting RPA workflows and infrastructure problems.
- Backup and Recovery: Knowledge of backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Capability to troubleshoot and debug issues in automated processes.
- Database Skills: Understanding of databases and SQL for data manipulation and integration tasks.
- Process Analysis and Design: Ability to analyze business processes and design automated solutions using RPA tools.
- Integration Skills: Experience in integrating RPA with other systems and technologies using APIs or middleware.
Additional Desirable Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services, specifically around SharePoint Online and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) is a plus.
- Additional Skills in any of these areas developing scalable custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft 365 REST APIs as well as Azure functions or Logic Apps.
- Knowledge/Proficiency in PowerShell scripting or Python for automating tasks within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Understanding of identity management concepts within Azure Active Directory and Office 365.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure PowerShell, or Azure CLI would be good but not required.
Practical Experience and understanding:
- Implementation Experience: Hands-on experience in implementing RPA solutions across different domains or industries.
- Project Management: Ability to manage projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Testing and Deployment: Experience in testing automated workflows and deploying them into production environments.
- System Deployment and Upgrades: Hands-on experience in deploying enterprise systems and performing upgrades to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Security Management: Understanding of security best practices and implementing security measures specific to enterprise systems and their integration with enterprise IT security frameworks.
- Capacity Planning: Ability to perform capacity planning to anticipate system resource needs and ensure scalability.
Soft Skills:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to understand complex business processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Client-Facing Skills: Experience in client-facing roles, understanding client requirements, and providing solutions.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience: Typically in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- RPA Certifications: Nice to have certifications on RPA tool providers such as UiPath Certified RPA Developer, Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional, or equivalent.
- Additional Certifications: Relevant certifications in other technical areas or project management (e.g., PMP), agile methodologies can be advantageous but not required.
