Mass Bay Community College’s students don’t only come from the greater Boston area where the school is located, but from throughout the country and even the world as evidenced by the rich culture of the student life. Mass Bay offers many standard associate degree programs in today’s most in-demand medical careers like Nursing, Radiological Technology, Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy. Other associate degrees are primarily science-based and include some highly specialized fields such as Marine Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Design. Given its strong, scientifically oriented academics and its location, many Mass Bay students transfer to the highly respected UMass Boston. Mass Bay’s student life offerings reflect the diverse culture of the school. Student organizations include an Indian Club, a Latino club, and a Carribean club as well as organizations related to academics and areas of personal interest. The admissions department requires submission of an application, transcripts and proof of a high school diploma or GED. Financial aid in the form of scholarships, loans, grants and work-study is granted to those who require and qualify for assistance with tuition.
