The Leidos Vulnerability Management Program is looking for the right candidates that will participate as a summer Intern and will be introduced to several different areas of Cyber Security, which will include:

Vulnerability Management
Assessing and prioritizing vulnerability remediation
Working with system owners for vulnerability remediation
Participating in Vulnerability Management discussions with various teams
Learning and using industry standard vulnerability management applications and tools

Programming and Developing
Building dashboards to report and visualize raw data for analysis

Learning and using automation and scripting platforms for various projects in languages including:
Python
PowerShell
Using databases and integrating them across various applications

AI
Learning how AI contributes to modern cyber threats and how to safeguard against it

Primary Responsibilities
Work under the supervision and direction of senior members of the Vulnerability Management Program
Participate in the assessment and prioritization of vulnerabilities identified in environments
Assist with the design and implementation of dashboards and data visualizations for system owners.
Identify, design, and drive automation projects for vulnerability management tasks
Audit our current systems
Monitor threat intelligence feeds to identify and triage new threats and vulnerabilities
Work to identify and prioritize remediation of security flaws and vulnerabilities in systems, network devices, websites, and source code
Interface with cross-functional teams to participate in security projects and initiatives
Be part of our AI team
Basic Qualifications
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Computer Science and have completed at least three years of an undergraduate curriculum and maintained a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Basic understanding of computer networks, systems, and how to identify vulnerabilities
Organized, self-motivated and self-directed
Passionate about Cyber Security
Willingness to work as an individual contributor or part of a team
Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and self-directed learning, including researching
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time
Willingness to learn
This is a Teleworking (Remote) Position
US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any vulnerability scanning tools
Knowledge of OWASP Top 10
Knowledge of NIST frameworks
Any Professional Certifications
Any coding/scripting knowledge
Experience with one or more of the major cloud computing environments
Experience with vulnerability management scoring methodologies
Experience with application security frameworks
Experience with Databases

Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
