In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Security Specialist: Endpoint Security, you will implement, monitor, and maintain security solutions to protect organizational endpoints. This role involves deploying and configuring various security tools and solutions to ensure the security and integrity of organizational systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Deploy and Configure Security Tools: Deploy and configure tools such as host-based firewall, host-based IPS, antivirus, file integrity monitoring, and MDM solutions to protect organizational endpoints.

• Monitor Systems for Alerts: Continuously monitor systems for alerts and notifications, and take necessary actions to address potential security threats.

• Conduct Basic Threat Analysis: Conduct basic threat analysis and incident response to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

• Maintain Security Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

• Support End-Users: Support end-users on security policies and procedures, and provide guidance on best practices for endpoint security.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Security Tools: Familiarity with deploying and configuring security tools such as host-based firewall, host-based IPS, antivirus, file integrity monitoring, and MDM solutions.

• Experience with Threat Analysis: Exposure to conducting basic threat analysis and incident response to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

• System Monitoring: Experience working with system monitoring tools to detect and respond to security alerts and notifications.

• Security Documentation: Exposure to maintaining accurate and up-to-date security documentation to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

• Endpoint Security Best Practices: Experience working with endpoint security best practices and providing guidance to end-users on security policies and procedures.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Emerging Threats Knowledge: Exposure to staying updated on emerging threats and technologies to enhance endpoint security solutions.

• Advanced Threat Analysis: Experience with conducting in-depth threat analysis to identify complex security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

• Security Technology Updates: Familiarity with updating security tools and solutions to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and procedures.
