Our Information Security (IS) department pushes the limits of risks and threats across our global business. We are currently looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join us in our mission to make our global security platform a solid differentiator in the Medical Technology industry. You will be driving our suite of security platforms, systems, and applications to a level of excellence, and play a critical role in protecting the organization with the latest technology.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be given the opportunity to:

• Partner with our IT and Cyber Security functions in implementing solutions to prevent, contain, and eradicate threats to Hologic
• As the security SME, participate in the architecture review
• Lead projects involving new solutions including requirements gathering, design development, review, and execution of test plans to ensure the effectiveness of security controls

Other roles and responsibilities you are signing up for:

• Assisting your IT peers in securing business applications, business software and services, and infrastructure
• Improving the ability to respond to threats through technology selection, internal process development, and implementing automation of manual tasks and processes.
• Assisting teams with mitigating findings including assessment of impacts, possible solutions, and efficacy of remedies.
• Participating in architecture review as the security subject matter expert (SME)
• As a member of the cross-functional Cyber Security Incident Response Team.
• Advise on standards and operating procedures as a SME

What we are looking for in you:

• A dedicated, highly organized and motivated person who is passionate about technology and security.
• Inquisitive, have a can-do attitude and a remarkable positive track record for figuring things out and getting things done.
• You use scripting languages to automate tasks and integrate systems.
• You have a working knowledge about modern web application architecture and how to secure it (OWASP, SANS Top 25).
• Experience implementing controls against various Frameworks such as NIST CSF, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO-27001 and SOC-2
• Demonstrated hands-on experience securing on-prem infrastructure and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and implementing multiple cloud based security tools (e.g. SIEMs, EDR, UBA, PAM, IAM, MFA, DLP, SEG, CASB, SWG, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications we would like from you:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or relevant field (or equivalent experience); and 6-10 years of progressive experience;
• Applicable security certification a plus (CISSP, GIAC, etc.)

The annualized base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $160,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
