Senior Principal Software Engineer, Saas Security

We are looking for a lead security software engineer to drive the design and implementation of SaaS platform security architecture and capabilities. We are looking for a technical leader and team player who believes in building trust with our customers and has a passion for embedding security into the core foundation of the next-generation cloud-based SaaS infrastructure.

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, Saas Security you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Partner with the technical leadership team to help define the short- and long-term cloud security roadmap and strategy.

  • Architect and develop cloud-based security capabilities, focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Encryption and Protection, Network Security, and Cloud Platform Security.

  • Research emerging security technologies and propose innovative, cutting-edge solutions to improve APEX security posture and capabilities continuously.

  • As a technical lead, drive collaboration across APEX engineering groups and external partners.

  • Develop functional and design specifications to support product requirements

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in software development, using web APIs and languages such as C++, Java, Python, and Rust, with 5 + years in the security domain

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud security capabilities with AWS, GCP, OCI and/or Azure

  • Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Encryption, PKI, CI/CD Security, security Logging, and monitoring

  • Hands-on working experience of cloud-native/cloud authentication mechanisms (e.g. OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, etc.).

  • Experience with Kubernetes, and container-based environments


Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with industry security frameworks (ISO, OWASP, NIST Cyber Security, etc.).

  • BS or MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related fields
