Security Architect Consultant

The evolving threats in the cybersecurity and resiliency space demand a broad team of professionals to bring security expertise and business knowledge to help enable the continued innovation of our engineering and R&D activities and to ensure continued and increasing protection of these environments.

Join us as a Security Architect Consultant in our Product Group Business Unit Security Officer team.

What you’ll achieve:

The Security Architect will have the responsibility to support Dell’s Security and Resiliency Organization (SRO) and the Product Groups of Dell in support of effective security planning in the evolution of their activities. In addition to your security architecture and cloud experience you will bring an energy and passion for enabling the business and helping your Dell peers in the business to embed security and resilience into the efforts to transform our engineering and R&D infrastructures.

You will:

• Deliver outstanding results in this hybrid role. Leaning on your background of security engineering and architecture:

• Work with CSG Services executives and leaders to secure development environments to Dell and industry standards by providing security guidance and direction while collaborating with SRO experts

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of business unit ecosystems to identify areas of non-compliance and risks

• Align the security governance program to help ensure security risks are effectively communicated throughout the business unit and ensure remediation actions are assigned

• Be able to clearly articulate how current technical operations architectures and security practices of product group organizations align with Dell and industry standards and best practices.

Essential Requirements

• 10+ years of experience. Strong English verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of IT systems, domains, enterprise applications, DNS, and Networking & functional knowledge in managing complex environments and application of cybersecurity technologies.

• Detailed technical expertise in enterprise security solutions such as, Credentials management and data protection/vaulting solutions, network firewalls, CASB solutions.

• Able to effectively perform knowledge transfers and train peers regarding areas of expertise

• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly with or without formal training, lead and influence a diverse group of stakeholders in a large technology firm with a global footprint & operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities.

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred and 10+ years of related experience; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.

• Individuals with CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications preferred.
