About this role:

CyberArk is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer Intern who is passionate about security, well versed in the attacker mindset, committed to delivering results, and focused on ethically impacting our industry. The Cloud Security Engineer intern will work with Engineering and Product teams to continuously improve the security posture of the services.

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills to join our Cloud Security and Engineering team. The ideal candidate will develop and implement tools and capabilities that will proactively protect CyberArk networks and systems in the Cloud. Candidates should be familiar with information security best practices, modern automation tools and Cloud environments.

What you will do:

• Utilize big-data and BI technologies to implement and enhance threat detection
• Implement, maintain and improve existing industry best practices of operational security controls such as:
  • Monitoring
  • Identity and access management
  • Encryption and data security
  • Self auditing
• Implement Threat Hunting and Blue Teaming tools and capabilities
• Prepare and deliver security awareness training and knowledge sharing to Engineering teams
• Acquire relevant knowledge, remain up-to-date, attend security conferences and be involved with the security community
• Drive and lead security processes, tools, methods, and knowledge and security enhancements

What you need to succeed:

• Preferred to be studying for an information security or computer science related degree
• Technical experience in one or more of the following:
  • Infrastructure security, Security SDLC and secure SaaS practices
  • Building in and securing CI/CD environments
  • Penetration Testing or Red Teaming
  • Experience with securing production environments in cloud - AWS experience preferred but not required
  • Understanding of Threat Hunting
  • Software or scripting development experience in any language; Ex: Python, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, Elm, etc
• Experience in one of the following:
  • Linux/Unix and Windows OS internals
  • Network analysis
• Desire to work in automation
• An aptitude to think like an attacker
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Understanding of Information Security in various environments
• Desire to assume sole and independent responsibilities
• Ability to keep track of numerous detail-intensive, interdependent tasks and ensure their accurate completion
