DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoots and solves the most complex network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.
• Defines and implements network disaster recovery and hardware, software and information protection and file integrity.
• Ensures network security by ensuring proper user accessibility, and being able to reasonably guard against the most complex threats to security that will face the network.
• Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
• Interface with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues and to ensure proper escalation during outages.
• Analyze network traffic and data to plan for future growth and optimize network resources.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Perform routine maintenance on servers, routers, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure
• optimal performance and security.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
• Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware
• Ability to problem solve and think critically

• Communication skills
• Project management skills
• Strong understanding of network hardware, software, protocols, and operating systems

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering or network administration or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Cisco switch, router modifications and configurations.
• 5+ years’ experience in SonicWall Firewalls including all NSA and Supermassive products.
• 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft Active Directory Configurations and Modifications.
• 5+ years in Installation and Configuration of Wireless Networks both WAN and LAN
• Expert level understanding of cabling standards, frame switching, sub netting, DNS, DHCP, IP, ACL, NAT, TCP/UDP, VLAN, Firewalls and VPN
• Experience in network support service
