- DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Under the general direction of the Director Imaging Technology, is responsible for assisting with the development, planning, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining of day to day operations of the primary RIS (Radiology Information System) and CIS (Cardiology Information System), including PACS, RIS, Enterprise Archive, UV (Universal Viewer) & CCW (Centricity Cardio Workflow).
Responsible for the support of all RIS (Radiology Information System) components, including dictation/voice recognition system (Power scribe), mammography reporting system (Penrad), and quality improvement reporting system (Peervue) and any other third party systems that support Radiology and Cardiology.
This position assumes the responsibilities of the PACS administrator or RIS manager in his/her absence.
Individual will be expected to act as a liaison in information technology projects/issues for Imaging related services.

- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of Information Technology experience or Radiology Technology experience required.
- CT and MR experience preferred.
- IS, RIS, PACS experience preferred.

- Education and Training:
- Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related health field, and/or experience required.
- Graduate of AMA/JC ERT approved Radiologic Technology Program a plus but not required.

- License, Certification & Registration:
- ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography is preferred.
- MALIC - Mass Radiography License is preferred.

- Other Requirements:
- Exceptional computer software and systems skills.
- Must be available for on-call Imaging related IT needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong adult teaching skills in both individual and group settings.
- Ability to deal with groups and conduct meetings.
- Proven process and analytical ability.
- Independent, well-organized, and systematic at work.
- Knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes and terminology.
- Self-motivated, independent and must possess the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all hospital personnel.
