Senior Windows Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join as a Sr. Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) within our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Organization (CIE CORP Systems Engineering team), to help lead the administration and support of our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing environments across Windows Server, Citrix, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SQL Server platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems operations, automation, and performance tuning, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities

Windows Server Administration:
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2019/2022/2025).
Perform patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Implement and monitor Group Policies, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

Citrix Administration:
Support and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure.
Troubleshoot user access issues and optimize delivery performance.
Manage Citrix policies, profiles, and licensing.
Familiarization with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services

VMware Administration:
Administer VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts and vCenter.
Monitor resource utilization and perform capacity planning.
Implement and manage virtual machine provisioning and backups.

Microsoft 365 & Azure:
Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform.
Manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.
Support hybrid cloud deployments and Entra ID (Azure AD) integration.

SQL Server Administration:
Maintain SQL Server instances, perform backups/restores, and optimize performance.
Monitor database health and implement security best practices.
Collaborate with developers and analysts on database design and queries.

Security & Compliance:
Ensure systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
Implement security controls, monitor logs, and respond to incidents.

Automation & Documentation:
Strong familiarization with CI/CD tools and processes (Azure DevOps / Bitbucket)
Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and diagrams.
Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Education & Experience Required:
5+ years of professional experience in a Systems Administrator role
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and platforms
Strong PowerShell knowledge
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
